Size isn't everything..

Most people that come into the shop want a small speaker with a big sound, and this is the idea of satellite systems. They are designed for surround sound packages with 4 or 5 small speakers (usually about 3-4" high) and a dedicated centre channel (for speech) and a sub woofer for the bass, because a speaker of this size is not going to be able to produce the bass notes needed.

These packages are fantastic for a home cinema system or to complement a plasma or LCD screen. There are a large number of sub-sats (as they are known) on the market today from manufacturers like Elac, Mordant Short, B&W and Tannoy and we have always got some systems on permanent demonstration here in our showrooms. Feel free to bring a DVD in with you; you will be impressed at such a big sound from a small system.
